Zamora's Carnitas is BACK after their fire last November, and they are IN A NEW LOCATION: 425 W Belmont, which used to be a restaurant called Lorena's. It's just west of the roundabout (west of Palm) near the zoo! We'd heard a rumor they were open again, so we went to their usual location on Fresno Street south of Olive, where we found the sign directing us to the new location instead. They had the same wonderful food as always, so I immediately wanted Yelpers to know they are back and as great as ever!Just like the "old days" they brought us chips and salsa -- very good! But in addition -- and I don't know if this is a permanent feature, or just part of their grand reopening celebration -- they brought us a plate of carnitas to share with some lime wedges and salsa. Delicious! For the "main event," their carnitas plate is always my go-to, even after eating carnitas for an appetizer! It's their speciality, so if you are on the fence at all, you should try it. It still comes with the rice and beans and fresh pico de gallo on the side, and delicious tortillas. My husband got the beef flautas which had a nice presentation with plenty of guacamole, sour cream and cheese, and also rice and beans on the side.Check out the pictures -- any fans of the old Zamora's will see it's the same great food. The family who runs the place is lovely, very welcoming, and they told us it's only their second day open. You would never know it -- everything went very smoothly and was as delicious as always. We always loved the low-key, comfortable, and friendly ambience, and that's still here in the new location. Even though Zamora's Carnitas is right there on Belmont, there's a big parking lot. So parking is easy. It's very lucky we decided to go check out whether they had reopened. Hopefully the Fresno Bee, who covered the fire, will write a follow-up story about their reopening so they get a lot of their customers back!I hope everyone will go and support this Fresno gem, which has finally reopened!!! It's always been one of our very favorite places in Fresno! Go!

poor service, dead flies & disgusting food. I wish i could give it a 0 star. Let me just start of by saying that these people didnt greet us well, the lady yelled at us for i dont know what reason & everytime we kept ordering she would just laugh along with the lady in the kitchen. The moment we sat there, there was so many dead flies and flies flying around. They took about 30 mins to give us our food oh and i went to the restroom and there was no toilet paper and no soap so i asked for toilet paper and soap and the lady said there was no toilet paper and then handed me some Detergent the restroom was also really dirty as well so i didnt even bother using the restroom there. Me and my family paid $35 for them to give us little tiny bit of rice and beans and tortillas with some pork and the food wasnt even good I dont know Im very disgusted that this happened to us. I understand with everything being so expensive now days i do understand but however that place was really pricey and theres no need to waste your money on that place. I should have reported what happened to us but we just let it go and my family and i will never go back there again.
