Unscrupulous Policy--Never going back! This store has a shady return policy that violates consumer rights. The return policy sign is placed INSIDE the counter where consumers usually place their purses or wallets on--therefore it is covered up. It is written in dark grey and black and blends right into the black counter so it's not even visible. It simply says "policy" so no reasonable consumer would even think to read it since it does not say "return policy". In short, is done so no reasonable consumer will ever stop the read to AWFUL return policy here. I went to law school. And legally a store is that does not give cash back on returns is required to have a sign posting their return policy. It should be easily read, within eye view, and state the terms clearly and completely. Okay, have a return policy that does not even say "return policy", in a place completely out of eye view where people places their purses and bags on top of, and written in print that blends into the counter DOES NOT abide by this legal policy. This Guess store takes advantage of it's young buyers, since those under 30 aren't likely to know consumer rights. And it takes advantage that Fresno as a whole has such a low level of education, which means that few people likely will know legal policy. But I wasn't going to have it. I went back and spoke extra loud! They had wanted me to wait to get a check in the mail for a my return, and this wasn't told to me and no human being would ever notice that sign INSIDE THE COUNTER where women place their purses. I told the manager of my legal background and she gave me my $ back. But still, they continue taking advantage of Fresno's youth and this just plain awful. This place is unscrupulous and if a consumer rights lawyer wants to make a statement I suggest they walk in here.
