CHARLIE'S AUTO CARE CENTER

My previous mechanic closed his shop and Charlie was highly recommendedto fit my automotive needs. He diagnosed the problem with my Volvo's A/C, and didn't keep it more than a day. He explained why the problems were, replaced what was needed & charged what I felt was a reasonable amount. Thankfully, he's agreed to be my cars "go to guy" from here on.

sat in waiting room 10+ min just so a "regular" could walk in and yell, "where's Charlie?" then pull his truck in before me. got my keys back and left, fool me once....

My go to spot for smog checks. I always call ahead to make sure they aren't busy before heading in. They get me in and out quickly and as a bonus they are less expensive than a lot of other smog shops.

Rented a 26 ft Uhaul and a tow dolly from them. Took an hour and a half because the quoted price wasn't showing. So I still ended up getting charged an extra $50+ tax. Then we are ready to leave for our 9 hour drive. EVERYTHING is packed. Animals drugged, plants in hot vehicles, bath stuff, sleeping stuff, food....EVERYTHING is packed. Our tow dolly was cracked everywhere. We thought since both Charlie's AND Uhaul has such good ratings we wouldn't have to worry and would've inspected. We didn't know what we were looking for. Took nearly 2 hours with my husband, 2 neighbors, and myself calling. Finally found out we'd get a tow replacement about 9:46pm (2 hours after we called). At 10:15pm I got a call that we weren't getting a dolly until the morning. Well every one was closed by this point so we weren't going to find sleeping bags, tooth brushes, food, etc at this point.
