Millbrook Country Club

Moved out of this complex in August of 2022 after more than a decade of calling it home. I didn't like things there at the time, but now I honestly wish the wife and I had stayed. We've got more room where we are now, but we don't have the open sky and the views of sunset and sunrise that we had in this little (but cozy) apartment. We could leave our curtains open in the bedroom at night to let the moon shine in; because it was the second floor we didn't have to worry about anyone looking in because the window faced out toward Shields. We had tons of natural light due to the floor to ceiling front windows and the wide window in the bedroom. We were located centrally to everything we like (Clovis Walmart, Clovis Farmer's Market/Old Town, shopping, movie theaters, etc). Sure there were drawbacks, fighting bugs (spray works just fine), the homeless camp across the canal, that stupid dog in apartment 44 that never shut up until we got the dog training tool, but it was OUR home. We don't feel the same sense of home where we are now. I'd live here again if I could. Unfortunately I believe that rent went up over $320.00 a month on the apartment that we had. It's out of our price range for now. Maybe one day we'll move back though. I wouldn't mind.

Ive lived here almost a year Would NOT recommend living here if you have any decency. Homeless, tweakers, predators they all live here!! Slum Management, roach infested. Gate always broke. Just not a good place to live in my opinion
