Oh no! It appears that Zorba's is now closed! There's locks on the door, boarded up with a for sale sign in the window, devoid of people, during what should have been a lunch rush. Phone number just rings, no answer, and equipment inside appears out of place (kitchen equipment in the main walkways). So sad, this place was fantastic, glad I had a last chance to enjoy their food only 5 days ago. Original review: Wow, just wow. I had a desire for some Mediterranean food and Zorba's filled it in spades. The lamb for the gyros, one hundred percent lamb (not the lamb/beef mixes you find elsewhere), cut thick and stacked high. Ordered two today and could only finish one before I was full, and was more than pleasantly surprised with the tzatziki, and the traditional spicy sauce I asked for on the side, so good. I will absolutely recommend this place and be back again!

We happened to stop here on our way to Santa Cruz and got crisscut fries and mozzarella sticks. Both were clearly made fresh and were absolutely incredible.

So far this is the best Mediterranean I've had in the bay area. Everything we tried was good: dolma, falafel, kebabs, hummus, tabouli and the salad. Definitely coming back.
