All About Shade

We first contacted this company in Oct 2016 to get quotes for sun shades of different sorts for 2 different areas of our home.
In March 2017 we were ready to get going on one of the projects so we had them come out again to make sure we were all set to order.
The good:
They said they wouldn't charge us the 7% increase (because the product price had gone up in January)
The bad:
The product we were trying to choose could only be seen from tiny swatches & pictures on an ipad , neither helped in understanding how it would really look to look through in a large area & was very little help in choosing which color. We were looking to shade a huge porch & spending 3K so we sure didn't want to have regrets afterwards !
Because it was alot of money for us to spend we were trying to make sure all our questions & reservations were addressed. We wanted shades that completely covered the porch. the Representative said that what we wanted was lots more expensive so we should go with the shorter width shades that did not completely cover the porch .
He said:"12 ft shades would be good enough for ME". & that the gaps inbetween the shades would not bother HIM.My husband & I thought that his tone was bossy & that he was being very rude and dismissal of what we wanted. When I expressed reservations because the area got blinding light in the after noon so tall glaring bars of blinding light inbetween the black shades might really be a visually uncomfortable thing , (especially when you had a few guests all sitting around) the Rep said :"how many people you gonna have over....40 ? ". My husband & I were shocked at what seemed to us to be a snearing tone. He had been becoming increasingly impatient with us as our questions proceeded, but we both felt that he had crossed the line & become aggressively pushy.
It was so unpleasant that we decided that we would not do business with this company.
After acquiring 3 quotes from 3 different shade companies, we
ended up going with Goodwin Cole, whose product & prices & warranty were a better fit for our project.
The Representative from Goodwin Cole was professional & long patient throughout our many questions.
