Wonderful feel-good place
Rooms: The room felt like home from the start. Warm up very quickly thanks to the gas heater. Everything very comfortable.
Nearby activities: Yosemite Valley and Glacier Point can be reached in about an hour by car. Really enough for us to go on long hikes and explore all the highlights.
Safety: At no point did we feel unsafe.
Walkability: There was a small shop for groceries etc. within walking distance. Otherwise, a car is necessary.
Food & drinks: American breakfast, bread, bagels or toast freshly provided. Packaged butter, jam and cream cheese were waiting in the fridge. Also yogurt and blueberries every day. Coffee, tea or cocoa available at any time in the machine.
Noteworthy details: Pamela gives great tips for hikes and excursions and is a friendly hostess.

The place is nicely maintained. The host knows exactly what to do around the area. One of the winning factors of this inn is the beautiful creek behind.

5 minutes from the Yosemite South entrance this accomodation is second to none. Beautiful rooms (only three so very quie, fantastic balcony and decking area (don't forget to feed the cheeky Stellar's Jay) and a wonderful host in Pamela. You could not do better. It takes around 1 hour to arrive at Yosemite Village (if you leave around 06:15) which, if not staying in the park, is fantastic. Stock up on an amazing lunch from the Fish Camp General Store (located 2 minutes from the Big Creek Inn - buy the night before and store in your in-room fridge) and you are set for the day. Plus, don't forget about the brilliant Big Creek Inn breakfast of pastries, bagels, yogurt, fruit, eggs...). Could not recommendation highly enough.
