Was referred to ophthalmology for my 10 month old. Doctor canceled on us TWICE. Once while we were on the way there and this time via text message before the office even opened.

The perintology department here is so amazing! Having issues come up with your unborn baby is so stressful and scary but this team goes far above and beyond to help you through it, explain everything right away so you don't wait anxiously for days and the ultrasound texts are by far superior than any other I've seen! I can't express how much I appreciate this place and this team! Especially because my normal provider is subpar to say the least. These people really step up and help a lot

We went to orthopedics, Escondido, for evaluation of my daughters wrist. X-rays and nurse practitioner (we didn't see a Dr) uneventful. Told to wait for a brace fitter but we were never told this was a 3rd party contracted company (DJO) and that they would charge us & our insurance 4x the retail rate for a very basic brace that was nearly identical (same size, fit, just shiny & new - "you'll like this better because its new" they told my daughter) to the one we came in with from the last injury. The fitter also never mentioned they were a 3rd party or that they would be charging our insurance 4x the easily available retail cost. (Which, of course, ultimately gets passed on to us). Be very wary and ask questions - Rady's does not tell you that the fitter is not part of Rady's but a private company that has horrendous reviews and complaints with BBB - DJO are working hard to take advantage of parents when their children are injured, pressure-selling, and fraudulently marking up prices because they can get away with it and Rady's is a condoning partner in the scheme. I did have several conversations with both Rady's and DJO and both just continue to pass the buck and blame the other party. Very disappointed they choose to take advantage of families in their time of need and will think twice about where to take my kids in the future.
