Staci is amazing at facials. The massage is the best I have ever had! Great experience although the receptionist need better training.

I have been coming to Murad since I was young as my mother has been a long time client. I have had a facial done once but consistently come for an eyebrow wax. I usually see Stacey who is very sweet and lovely to chat with. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, you get what you pay for. So if you don't need the extra environment touches, you can go elsewhere for a cheaper service. As for me, I have been spoiled.

I went to Skin Essence, in Inglewood, on Monday for a quick facial. Think about this: Skin Essence is in Inglewood, so you never know what kind of "personalities" you are gonna come across. A spa is not really a spa. I was happy to get a last minute appointment, and I got what I expected: loud voices, no relaxation room and a cheap facial. Later that day, I sent my mother to Burke Williams, in Torrance, and when she returned, I grilled her on how well she was treated and if she had gotten the services that I paid for. She had a magnificent time! At Burke Williams, the quality is consistent. I wanted my mother to feel pampered. I got what I expected, great quality and friendly customer service. On Thursday, I went to Murad for a body treatment. The relaxation room was loud (thanks to the girls at the front desk). The body treatment was awful (compared to Burke Williams). The masseuse was amazing; however, the company's procedures were out of order and weird. Who wants to go home with a scrub still on their skin? I ended up sitting in the sauna in order to help the products work before I rinsed them off and applied lotion. The products are amazing. My skin feels fantastic; however, I shouldn't have to apply my own lotion after a spa treatment; but I needed to rinse off the exfoliant (that wasn't apart of Murad's procedure). Of the three spas I visited last week, Murad was the worst. That should speak volumes because Skin Essence is, well, Skin Essence.
