Killian Photography

Killian Photography has been doing our school's photos for as long as I can remember. Standard pictures, etc. I will say their customer service is great though. I've emailed them a number of times with questions or help with orders and they are always quick to help out. I do wish they would pay a little more attention to kids hair though... Lots of fly aways in photos.

Apparently the company decided to cut costs by removing the cardboard that kept the photos from being bent, unfortunately my son being a typical 9 year old boy threw them in his backpack and didn't think anything of it, and they got two creases down the middle, when I emailed, Barbara didn't apologize but got defensive and stated that "We have delivered thousands of photos this year and this has not seemed to be a significant problem. We have had only one other parent contact us whose child bent their photos by putting them in a backpack." I find that very unlikely, considering I know at least one other person in the same class that had a similar issue. The company either needs to protect their product from damage until it gets in the adults hands or they need to be upfront about the packaging and offer the parents a means to pick them up safely. She then told me I had to pay $5 for a reprint. Which honestly I would have paid if she was just kind and apologetic in the beginning. I loved the photographer but man their customer service makes me never want to use them again. I will be complaining to the school. If there was truly only two children this happened to then I don't see why they don't offer a reprint for free. I know many might say, like Barbara insinuated, it's my child's fault, but really my child had no business holding onto these if they weren't protected. I bought them with my money, I am your client, give them to me. BTW I have never had a problem when the photos were given a backer or in a cardboard envelope.
