Not had an electrical fire. Just opened up a spot in the dry wall to the left of a current switch to add a plug box for a broken switch that was installed poorly. Only to find a random electrical box with wires left in the wall. Uncapped wires were found dangling in the walls while installing can lighting in another room. Our kitchen had the wrong gauge wire and amps at the breaker box for the new oven combo installed. It blew the first time we attempted to use both ovens. In addition to all of that the kitchen was not rewired up to code (father in law is a current building inspector). There’s no way permits were pulled, or the electrical was passed off by an inspector.
