Unfortunately, there is no truth in what this person states. The review was actually written by the buyers girl friend and not even by the buyer. The reason the check had an issue was because his bank had a limit as to how much they could cash a check from a photo by phone and the check exceeded the amount. There was never any problem with the check itself- As soon as it was deposited the traditional way all was good as expected-

The 5.0 rating for this yacht broker is based on 4 reviews...mostly from the buyer that dates back to 2006 but none from a seller. This broker has been withholding funds of a recent sale of a yacht (Apr 2022) with threats of acquiring a lawyer because the seller will not release the title of the yacht until the monetary transaction for the sale is complete. The buyer had paid for the purchase of the yacht and monies cleared to the broker and have been told that they can take possession of the yacht but yet the seller has not received any monies on the sale. The broker had issued a check and had the buyer sign for receipt of monies but the check did not clear due to insufficient funds....meaning the broker passed a bogus check, knowingly...The excuses given for the delay in issuing the seller the funds came with an abundance of apologies stating that the delay was due to the owner of the brokerage having cancer and an employee's daughter having a softball game (weeks ago). The gentleman that came with the bogus check (Steve) stated that he had worked for the OC Sheriff's Department and that he/they should be trusted as he had the seller sign for the receipt of a bogus check. (I took photos of the transaction, the next day the bank kicked the check back). The business practices of this broker is not transparent and is shady based on how they are handling this particular sale. This brokerage is bullying and threatening the seller with legal action whilst withholding monies and passing bad checks. This journey has not been resolved but seller beware....this yacht broker has misled both sides of the sale...lies to both the seller and buyer. I had told Steve that this transaction should be clean but it is apparent that the funds of the sale is being used for other purposes as they don't have the monies due to the seller. Just excuses and threats.
