Servpro Malibu hired 2XM Hardwood Floor to fix a 3.5-inch deep scratch they made on the living room floor during the process of water damage mitigation. The repair work started on July 21, 2022, but was completed on January 10, 2023, Mario failed to show up on the agreed-upon day and did not respond to calls or texts. He also had a hard time matching the color and didn't have the necessary materials needing to come back three more times to complete the repair work. Unfortunately, the repaired section of the floor is darker than the surrounding area, and it's noticeable to anyone entering the living room. Despite Mario's insistence that the repair is seamless, everyone sees the problem. He said the repair work for $600 was not worth it. He should know how much time and effort it would take and charge people accordingly. Mario's suggestion to purchase a box of the floor and replace the wood floor plank for $950 is not a viable solution, as the wood from the Canadian company is not the same thickness or width as the original floor. He should consult with his partner and fix the problem correctly. My reply to the response from the owner. I would like to clarify a few points regarding the work that was done on my wood floor. 1.When you first applied the color, it was grayish and didn't match the brown color of my floor. You said you'd return with different color, but when you did, it had reddish hue. After many attempts, I was frustrated, and since you wouldn't return to complete the work, I asked you to stop trying to match the color, just come back and finish the work. Unfortunately, this resulted in irregular patches of different shades on the wood. You said you needed to paint it with a primer, but you did not have it with you at the time, and you would return with a primer. Don't blame me for the problems you had. You may be inexperienced or lack in competency when it comes to repairing the wood floor. 2. I attempted to order a box of wood floor. The store manager said that the manufacturer no longer made it in the same dimensions. Even if I had been able to find a suitable replacement, I would not have hired you again due to the length of time it took to complete the work. 3. I recall you say one-time flat fee of $600 for the repair job. While I appreciate your efforts, I would recommend you not to take on repair jobs in the future for the sake of you and the clients. Mario and the team were a great find! Local to the west LA area off of Venice Blvd off of Culver Blvd, small shop with great inventory options. I took 5 large samples at their suggestion, they loaded them in my car for me. Once chosen, they coordinated with my contractor, delivered base board options as well, which they installed. They removed the existing flooring, installed the new in 3 days! On time and communicated on all details. They were kind enough to drop off a kit to care for the flooring after we moved back in. Mario and his team are the best. Always on time, get the work done as promised and within the timeframe agreed upon. Very professional and always a pleasure to work with. We had them do two projects in our condo within the past year. Highly recommended.

Mario and Melvin did a great job refinishing our floors. We gave them access to our house over a long weekend and came back to beautiful floors. Honest, Trustworthy, Responsive.
