image KARENS GONE WILD!!!
It is VERY unfortunate that I have to give my money every month to a company with "customer service representatives" who treat their paying, loyal, responsible customers as an inconvenience! I spoke to one of the two lady "customer service representatives" over the phone, which apparently "there are only two of them"; to get information on how much is owed on my bill like I have done EVERY month for a year! I was told something very different this time however, that really threw me off which was that they could not tell me how much I owe all of a sudden until "they are finished reading the meters" even though I was told to pay my bill preferably by the 10th of each month, a year ago so that my account "stays in good standing" but now I am being told that bills are not even sent out until the 15th of the month which I never received and was told by the "customer service representative" lady who I will refer to as Karen, that I needed to "check my mail" when I should be able to get my bill that was supposedly sent to me on the 15th because this is suddenly the new policy, but if that's so then surely she should have that information for my May 15th bill in her system but NOOOOO she just had to make it difficult for me by making me "check my mail." Imagine telling a disabled ethnic woman who cannot drive to "go check your mail" as in drive to my post office for information they can give you over the phone which apparently they do not have and they will not have over the phone because I can just "go check my mail." How about you CHECK YOUR ATTITUDE and do your job, "customer service representative" with no name, like your old lady friend/coworker said? I explained to you that this was THE FIRST TIME I have ever been told this as a customer of 1 year. I had to have Karen repeat what she said to me a couple of times to make sure I understood what you were saying and your tone was already becoming increasingly irritated over something SO SIMPLE after just ONE time of explaining to me what you meant, and badly at that! Like, calm down, Karen, no one is asking you to choke on air from excessive reiteration. I only wanted to know WHY it was different this time and instead of answering my question like a "good customer service representative" would do, Karen says to me in the most disgusting, condescending tone with the rudest, dismissive attitude I have ever dealt with from ANY woman over 50, which I know you are, "customer service representative" Karen: "You are the one who doesn't want to accept the information that I am giving you. I have already told you that we have not processed the bills YET because we are still reading the meters!" All because I expressed how I did not appreciate her excessively, huffy puffy, condescending, dismissive, Karenness as if her attitude wasn't the problem, no it was my lack of understanding and refusal of acceptance because apparently the "customer service representative" is always right now not the customer. So then she hangs up on me. No surprise, she's RUDE.
