    ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. My wife and I were referred to Darryl at Metropolitan Home Mortgage after our primary lender could not fulfill the type of loan we were requesting. It turned out that Darryl couldn’t do this loan as well (as a new law in California did not allow this type of loan anymore), so Darryl referred us back to our primary lender. Fast forward a few weeks: my wife and I opened Escrow with our primary lender; we were at our future home for an inspection and I happen to see a package of documents OPENED with MY AND MY WIFE’S NAME on it addressed to the home that we do not even live in yet. The current tenant that lived at this property went through the documents as the papers were spread all over a table. This package contained all of our personal and private information including: - Our Loan Amount and Monthly Payment Amount - Our current residing address - Both of our Social Security Numbers - Both of our Cell Phone Numbers - Both of our Employers information (Address, Phone Numbers, Etc.) - Both of our Salary Information - Debt Assets and Liabilities - Credit Scores Unbelievable. When I called Darryl to see how this could happen he told me, “Well, this has happened before and we put a policy in place to try and prevent this from happening. The girl that processes this must have made a mistake.” The policy clearly does not work and when I continued to voice my concern of my private information getting out Darryl cut me off and said, “What do you want me to do?” Terrible customer service response. My wife and I are now concerned about our Social Security Numbers and other private information being out there to someone we do not know. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. All of his responses to negative reviews have been: “We have trained our staff and we hope they will not make this mistake again” or “Since we helped you we have hired a new team of staff so we can deal with our loans properly.” Maybe this company should look at mistake-proofing their confidential processes before hiring new staff.
