I lost my mailbox key and needed to change the locks out. So I called these guys based on Google reviews. My information was taken and later on I was contacted by a guy I thought would be doing the work. I asked him for a quote he said "$29 to show up $49 to drill out the lock and $49 to replace the lock". So I said to him "About $130?"and he said "Something like that." So I agreed and we set a time. About 5-10 minutes later another guy calls me asking what was written on the locks, was it labeled USPS, I didn't know as I was on my way to the bank to get the money for the job. He said he would bring both lock types that it could possibly be. When I got back home I sent him a text with info on the lock type. He arrived drilled out the old lock and installed the new lock. He was pretty fast and seemed to know his job. He asked if anyone quoted me a price and I said yes and he he called the first guy back to verify the quote. He then hands me the phone and the other guy says that type of lock costs more and he claims to have told me there could possibly be a 15 dollar price difference but then tells me the lock will cost $79 which is a $30 dollar difference apparently he can't math. He never once mentioned a price change of up to $15 which ended up being $30 and if there was going to be a change in price he should have told me prior to his smith starting and completing the work. I didn't feel like arguing and I needed that lock so I just paid. Google needs to question these guys seeing as I found them under the Google I believe it was called certified businesses. The guy that showed up was fast, professional, and seemed knowledgeable. My issue is with his supervisor or dispatcher changing the quote.
