Barry, the owner was very professional, on time, and reliable. I had them perform an open floor concept by demoing a load bearing wall. They performed planning, demo work, painting, dry wall, texture and electrical. The price was more than affordable. the quality of work was excellent and performed on time. Words cannot express how incredible Barry and his guys were. Five days into my husbands deployment we sprung a leak in our master bathroom shower which in turn leaked into our downstairs kitchen. Once I was put in contact with Barry, it was smooth sailing the whole way. He helped navigate the insurance and followed up with them to make sure they had all the information and once we had that confirmation, he hit the ground running. His crew of guys came in and got to work quickly and efficiently. They were so incredibly respectful at all times. A lot of "yes ma'am" and "sure thing ma'am" which I have found to be more and more rare. They had so much respect for me and my home and understood the urgency of the situation considering I am also 8 months pregnant. The crew was easy to talk with and had no problem adding small things here and there to make sure I was happy at all times. They were great at cleaning up each day and trying to make sure my daughter and I were as comfortable in our home as we could be considering we were without one of our bathrooms, and more importantly our kitchen. Barry checked in with me frequently by either stopping by and seeing the progress of everything or calling/texting me. Again I cannot express how great everything was and I know my husband feels the same way. It wasn't easy on him being 8,000 miles away and knowing what we were going through without him. Everyone we came into contact with every step of the way was so pleasant, courteous and fun to see every day. We connected with Schafer Remodeling after our kitchen experienced some water damage. Meeting Barry for the first time he was very patient and nice in explaining how this process works. We decided to go ahead with them because of the many years of experience Barry and his team had and the fact that they were local. When the work began and throughout the two week job, the team was on time, friendly, clean and professional. They reconstructed our cabinets that got damaged and prepared the structures for the countertops that they brought in another person to install. They also installed some new appliances that my wife and I decided to change out. For one of the appliances, I actually bought the wrong sink and Barry and his team installed it. Afterwards, my wife pointed out that I bought the wrong style of sink. She and I felt horrible pointing out my mistake to Barry and his team. They were completely understanding and so gracious. They did not make us feel bad one bit. This was a huge gesture on their part that summarized how wonderful it was to work with them. They simply wanted us to be happy and worked their hardest to make sure we were. We are beyond happy and LOVE our kitchen! I needed to repair damage from a leak on an interior wall. I wasn’t completely comfortable with the first two contractors I interviewed for the job. Then, Barry was recommended to me by another contractor I previously hired for electrical and stone work. He told me that in all his years of working at various sites, Barry delivered the best drywall results he had ever seen. I am happy I followed his hearty recommendation. My job entailed fixing large sections that had been cut out of the ceiling and primary wall in my den and a smaller section of a wall in my upstairs bath. It also included repair to the wall in my condominium neighbor’s closet. Barry and his assistant Kalani not only did that repair work perfectly, they also resolved some residual issues I had from my original painters. They faultlessly repaired my den; repainted an entire, tall wall to erase some uneven areas; delivered a sharp line where dark paint interfaced with a white ceiling (something the prior painters didn’t do) and anything else I asked. All of this was done with great care and a smile. Barry works quietly, efficiently and thoroughly cleans up any mess each day. He delivers quality work and isn’t happy until his customer is saitisfied. Barry is notably honest and fair; his prices are very reasonable.
