Bonita Country Day School

This is the first educational institution that my child has ever been associated with and I could not be happier that I chose Bonita Country Day School. My daughter Will be attending the 2017-2018 school year. She has already thrived from just attending the camp this summer. I cannot wait to see what the school year holds!

Years ago my husband and I had both of our daughters at this school. We liked it at first and then had our first problem...we ran into people at the school that were not racially sensitive. The Principal and the Headmaster were not supportive or helpful in trying to solve the problem nor did they uphold those school values. Fast forward, we discovered that not all of the administrators nor teachers were honest and ethical. We ultimately decided to leave the school and move up to the Poway school district where we have been very happy ever since. Our experience was so horrible at BCD that years later we still cringe when we think of this school. This is not where you want your children to go to school...and we discovered upon leaving the school that you can purchase their curriculum online for about $20. Save yourself the money and aggravation of BCD

First off, one of my toddlers was getting bullied at another preschool, we started looking for a new school mid year and Bonita Country Day accepted us so they really do accept year round applications. Second, this school is so small and the teachers and principle all know each student and parent by their names. My 3 year old started recognizing letters in magazines, cookies etc and sounding out vowels her first week! My 5 year old was writing his name within the lines his first day! His previous school never taught him how to write his name. I am so grateful to have found a good school with people who care about the children. All of the students are well behaved. Bullying is NOT tolerated here. This is exactly what I have been looking for. A private school that earns every dollar you spend. I never believed in private school and Bonita Country Day has changed my perspective for life.
