Woodside dental complaint Wow, I am So sadden and shattered by my experience, treatment and service with Woodside Dental- Feb 2024 Originally had minor ortho services done here in 2022. Routine cleaning and a cavity fill. 1 year (July 2023) later the filling broke off. I went back into the office to have it repaired. The physician who worked on me before was no longer with the practice so, Dr. Santos and his Hygienist Yessica, the most professionally kindest young ladies Ive met in the medical profession. Thank you for your services Yessica! Sadly 7 months later Feb 2024 the same tooth experienced a similar issue i called on Friday 2/16 after hours and left a VM on the 1538#. Being that It was a holiday weekend i I didnt expect to receive a call back right away, but to my surprise no follow up phone call ever came. On Tuesday morning, the next operating business day. I called and I was told I can come in for a cleaning and if the doctor has time to fix the issue I have, then we can reschedule a follow up appointment as needed . My appointment was scheduled 48hrs out. Friday, I showed up two hours early for my appointment, and wasnt seen until 10 mins after my scheduled time. Once checked in, soon after I was escorted back. The dental assistant working with Dr. santos Alicia was using the bite impression machine & in the area she was scanning at the time was all jaw and bone. I lightly tapped her arm to signal a release of pressure. This lady stops the machine a minute later, and says can I help you. I tapped my jaw to gesture the tension was a bit more than I could handle and wasnt advised that it would be done so aggressively. She replies with a nasty tone and facial gesture that I am doing my job so can you sit back and open your mouth sir completely taken back, in shock she proceeded. She finished got up and walked away. As I sat and waited for the doctor to return after his initial opening questionnaire and brief step away to review my x-rays, images, & bite scans. I noticed that my previous images from 2023 were on the screen and it confirmed that the affected area was indeed the same as before. This only stood out because Dr. santos advised me that my filling was not damaged but a new section of the tooth was damaged. Dr. Santos returned after I asked to enlarge the images for me to review stating yes I noticed that to it is the same as before just for this man to partially fill my tooth with inadequate composite, not file it into position to prevent grinding and raise the tooth back to its normal shape. Two days post operation the numbness was ever present in my gum line. I am heartbroken to see the condition of my tooth, the feeling of hallow pain inside and discomfort while eating or drinking any cold temperature items. I feel, The reason my treatment was deplorable is either because I am person of color, and because of that I dont deserve continuity of care or that I am a person of color with State provided medical insurance and billing is controlled and audited. Or maybe that I was to observant with the medical tools and treatment I was receiving and visually indicating that I was present, that I was aware of my medical needs and state regulations. If you are thinking about going to this location I would highly recommend NOT - General advice 2nd opinions on all pre/post work you have done here. I did not feel valued as a human patient or that my continuity of care was regarded and this complaint has been filed with both the board of health and insurance. There was already apprehension about sharing my concerns relating to the reoccurrence of issues along the lines of past work I received from this place.

I'm pretty sure Ive reviewed this dental practice before and am almost certain my review has been taken down since then...The dental/ortho staff are friendly and do good work, but my issue has always been with the reception/scheduling staff. A few times I've had ortho appointments scheduled, showed up, and the reception ladies tell me I don't have an appointment (when I did!) or will tell me the date of my dental appointment (not pertinent to ortho!).  Other times, some of reception ladies will give you attitude one day and be all nice the other day (not acceptable at all). More recently, I had a dental appointment scheduled at 5pm. I got a call asking to reschedule to 3pm, which I did and even used sick hours from work for this. THEN the day of the appointment, I'm waiting forever in the waiting room. A lady at reception tells me that the doctors running behind. Then 10 min later (waiting over 30min at this point) the same lady tells me I can sit in the back and wait for the doctor but they're unsure of how long I'll be waiting). At this point i made the decision to reschedule this dental appointment for the same day I'll be coming in for ortho (5pm) & the lady asks me I can come in earlier at 4:30 instead of 5pm... Yes, I definitely wasted sick hours from work to not even get seen this day! Word to the wise: do not be overly accommodating to the people scheduling appointments when they aren't even sure on how to accommodate patients EFFECTIVELY.

Well, apparently their staff is too prideful to be respectful to paying costumers. Not only they blame me for their price increase on the same treatment, they also blame me for not paying them before the treatment is done so we can lock down the price!! How do you do business like that?? Their staff must own the place since they were happy when I told them I would take my $6000 dollar business elsewhere. Yes, that's how much money they lost because of the terrible costumer service at the front.

I live in the neighborhood so I started with this dentist when I moved to the area they recommended that I replace two of my crowns that I had had done previously I was not in any pain and had no issues with these crowns but I took their professional opinion or do I regret it they remove the two crowns replace them in over the next year they both broke one of them broke twice the new crown burned after the second time of one of them breaking they made me pay half price but still feel I should've paid anything when I went back for a routine cleaning I waited in the lobby for 45 minutes past my appointment time at which time I asked the receptionist what was going on he said that somebody called in sick he didn't care to notify me at work what's going on and I had another appointment that I needed to get to allotted an hour and a half Time at this time I decided to get a new dentist upon my first inspection at my new dentist office they notified me that the crown at the Woodside dental had just put on would need to be redone because it was not covering the tooth or was it what they call a cliff sent her my new dentist send me the x-ray of which I could easily tell the tooth was not put on properly was not covering the crown was not covering so I sent an email to Woodside with the picture of the x-ray of the tooth he just put on and they refunded that $500They either don't care or don't know what they're doing either way so one star company I would steer clear to read this a lot of church time unnecessarily a lot of pain and a lot of scheduling unnecessarily because of them wish I would've never had them as my dentist
