        I guess it was only okay. The sushi was decent, with a large selection of custom rolls. The menu had a wide variety of offerings, including several standard ramen recipes (salt ramen, shoyu ramen) and bento boxes and entrees. It did not direct you to anything specific, like most Japanese restaurants do, they typically offer a specific kind of food. The atmosphere was really kind of like an American diner. It was okay, though.

        My favorite restaurant in Berkeley hands down. Cozy, lovely, great staff. Always good to meet with good friends for dinner at Anzu.

        Been eating here for over 15 years through two owners. This is easily our favorite local Berkeley neighborhood Japanese food spot! Cheap Lunch specials, great bento box combo deals for dinner, great customer service from the owner. Sushi/sashimi is always fresh, food always comes out fast. Sassy roll is my favorite!
