FYI, GYM WILL BE CLOSING PERMANENTLY ON MARCH 29TH, 2019.
lose to the bart and not as crowded as 24 gyms in the city, yet men's locker area space is extremely tight. Sometimes smells funky in the basement (maybe it's time to clean ventilation?).
24 staff, put more trash cans in the basement! Put more signs to return weights and use towels! Put a sign that squats racks shouldn't be used for all the other stupid things!

This place is a pig stye. Dirtiest gym I've ever lifted in. I don't mind a little rust on the bars, but this hole in the wall reeks like musk and sweat, has stains everywhere, no ventilation, is tiny, and all of the weights are in a windowless basement underground.
Save your money, don't get a 24 membership for this location.

It’s closing March 28. Nearest club is on Webster in Oakland which is in poor condition. Loss to the community. Other nearby clubs are problems in Berkeley traffic.
