Dan came to my house twice to try to fix my fridge by melting ice behind it and charged me hundreds of dollars each time. He came a third time after stating he needed to order a part. He never came back again even though I left several messages. All my food got ruined several times and I NEVER got the real problem fixed. Hes a nice guy but Im NOT happy!

He came out to look at my dishwasher. Went through it, was very knowledgeable. Said he was going to order a part and he would call me when it came in. This was pre holidays so I gave him until after the new year, about 2 months, and then I called him. He didn't remember coming to my house or saying he was going to order a part. Said he was going to check it when he got home because he was on a call. Never heard from him again.

A DIY video I watched on how to replace the ignitor on our aging Bosch oven really just convinced me to hire an experienced repair person. I saw no reason to risk a gas leak by learning on my own. And, with Thanksgiving baking looming, we needed an expert asap.Fortunately, I called Dan of Benicia Appliance, and on short notice he arrived with the part. He immediately proceeded to diagnose the problem and test out the new part before effortlessly reassembling it all. Watching him work was a pleasure because he hit all the marks bringing our oven back to life. But, better than that was listening to him talk about recovering from a life threatening injury that he had sustained only a few years back.As another reviewer stated, Dan impressed me with his professionalism, workmanship, and communication, giving the repair a one year warranty to boot!

I've used Dan, aka owner of BENICIA APPLIANCE for over 6 appliance repairs in our Benicia Home, BUT in the last year or so, he has NOT shown up, made claims when he said he ordered parts we needed for our Dryer and just the other day, for our High-End Kitchen Aid Gas & Convection Range, which after saying he'll come over to fix it .. .. AGAIN, a NO SHOW !! .. .. .. Time to retire Dan .. .. .. IMO & SMH

Our (practically new) dryer went out and Dan was able to come by the same day I called. The damaged part was a drum roller that was located at the front of the machine and necessitated that he take the entire dryer apart . . . front, back, top and the whole thing was lying in pieces on the floor. I couldn't look. He had the part, replaced it, put the dryer back together, cleaned up the mess, put everything in the room back the way it was, and the dryer works like new. I'd call him back in a heartbeat.
