Armstrong's Fish Market & Seafood Restaurant

The worst ever! I was really looking forward to eating here. Food was gross. I will eat almost anything, but this stayed on the plate. The drink was a cheap premix. Go to Von's and cook your own food!

Wow, this was a pleasant surprise. After walking down the beach front street/restaurant row, my friend and I decided to finally settle on a place that had sushi. The restaurant (like all of Avalon) was small and cozy, and although the decor made me feel like it was some cheap home in the wall, the food that we ordered completely changed my tune. The California roll was actually quite good and didn't take like something dragged out of the supermarket and placed on your plate. The orange roughy was actually quite good as well, and the salads tasted farm fresh! We had both resolved ourselves for a bad experience, but the meal really was on of the highlights for the day. If we were staying longer we would have enjoyed some wine and the sunset, but that is for another daydream adventure. But we will return, as the food was also good on purse strings.

Expensive for serving size, and food not great, spent 40$ for two parking spots near the water, and still hungry, good thing the sesame sticks are free.

Nice selection of fresh seafood. Busy and a little slow, like most of Avalon in the summer........................................
