Not your average retail wood store. Dave, the owner is full of interesting stories and has an amazing collection of exotic woods in all shapes and sizes. It's a fantastic place to go for small lots for small projects. Prices are always reasonable and occasionally you can get some fantastic deals on odd lot pieces or remnants. I now live in Lincoln but frequently go back to Auburn just to visit the store for just the right piece of wood.

Loved the mantle Chris made for our son 11 years ago.  Beautiful walnut mantle with a live edge.  When we built a new house in Lincoln with a California room that had a fireplace we knew we wanted one if Chris's mantles.  We couldn't be happier with the outcome and also the experience at California Hardwood in Auburn

Very impressed with huge selection and variety of hard wood. Nice young lady at the front was very helpful and we found exactly what we were looking for at a great price. Would recommend and will definitely return in the future.

They recommended Le Mart Flooring who did the best work we've ever seen! Even cleaned up after themselves so that they left our home move-in ready. Thank you Le Mart and CA Hardwoods!!!

I can NOT say enough of how helpful and willingness to ensure I have the right flooring for me to match. I would highly recommend going in and talking to them about what you're looking for. The staff is great and very helpful. Other stores like California Hardwoods are not this helpful or friendly.
If you looking for other custom wood products, they have some beautiful wood they would make fit into your home. The prices are spot on.
This will be your first and only stop when looking for flooring or a custom wood product.
