Don't understand the negative comments, my personal experience has been great. This is no longer a treatment center, just a sober living. Ive been sincerely trying to get sober the last 2 years. Been to treatment and 2 other sober livings. This one is BY FAR the best ive been to. Its really relaxed, but everyone here expects you to be an adult and be responsible, aka clean up after yourself and take care of yourself. Jim has been great. I have 2 friends that have lived here over a year and that's the reason i decided to move here. They've stayed sober almost 2 years now so something is working. But at the end of the day, the decision to drink is yours and yours alone. A place or person isn't gonna keep you sober or be the true reason you decide to drink. mando house meetings 3 times a week. Jim has a great heart and is a humble guy for who he is. But he's no nonsense and will call you on your BS. Some ppl don't like that i guess. He was nice enough to sit down with me and my ex wife and facilitate a counseling session. It went great and i truly appreciated that. Our son comes first above everything else and it helped us alot. Consider yourself lucky if you get a room here. Its been a blessing 🙌

i called to get a better understanding of the place i have a year sober and also employed but the house manager or owner said and i quote "you will not be a good fit here" so my understanding is this individual is on a high horse and does not care about peoples sobriety or their progress through life and only interested in the money honestly i would not recommend this sober living.

I spoke with Jim and he was not at all willing to help someone who is 50yr old and struggling with alcohol. He almost without asking made it clear if I wanted a room I had to kiss up to him. He berated me without knowing me. I've been sober 68 days but after hearing him tell me I was a failure I felt like he was right. He didn't even have the manners to say goid bye. He just said "you won't fit in here!" And he hung up on me. After my Jim call; I wouldn't stay here if it was FREE!

This place is a joke. My son stood here 7 months after being clean and coming from the salvation army mens home.. He was doing Very well, and was excited about his sobriety and feeling very good about his future, He graduated So It was time to move on but still needed support So sought another mens home hoping it would be like salvation army. Found oasis and was only there for a month and a week. Jim the owner was a Weirdo,- my son would call me saying hes constantly picking on him in front of the rest of the house. Jim was very negative for running a sober home where people are still struggling with sobriety. constantly threatening to kick him out for minor things. once because he had a single clean sock that was missing the other sock so he used it to wipe off the bathroom sink then tossed it in the trash. apparently a sock in the bathroom trash is against the rules, another time was because he watched too much TV. He's very narcissistic and likes to give his opinions about people but then gets angry when you disagree and threatens to kick you out, There is no structure or resources to keep these men motivated to stay clean like you would Imagine a sober living would have.. Just a very negative and opinionated old man that owns the place that has no real concern for the sobriety or well being of the men living there, If he doesn't like you he will wait until you pay rent and then kick you out the next day and say its non refundable and You have 3 hours to leave like the contract they sign shows. Jims a crook.California landlord-tenant law contains no special provisions for sober living houses. They are still required to give you a 3 day notice and then go through the court process If the tenant doesn't leave, So dont let him fool you with the contract. We knew this but we chose to move my son out because it just wasn't healthy for his sobriety to fight it, Do yourself a favor and look elswhere, this place is not a sober living facility that cares. They just want your money. Try Salvation army on Lewis st. You will not regret it.
