Amazing food! We are not frequent Mediterranean diners, but in our limited experience this food was fantastic. We had the falafel, chicken kabobs, and tri-tip Shawerma.

Though it's a bit hard to see and to make the quick turnoff into the parking lot (turn in at the next street if you miss the driveway), it's worth the looking. We spent a chilly night welcomed by warm peppermint tea and a memorial to those at Sandy Hook Elementary. The family was attentive and helped up with recommendations - lentil soup, mansaf, and rotisserie chicken. All of these were excellent and fresh. Though it's cute from the outside, you will find much more than you expect on the inside. Well worth the trip.

As far as I'm concerned, Zaki Kabob House has THE BEST falafel in the world. Bar none. Crispy on the outside, light as a cloud inside, dinner at Zaki Kabob House just isn't complete without an order of these. I've been coming here almost since they first opened and I've watched them continue to develop and grow in marvelous ways. Although probably best known for their rotisserie chicken -- also not to be missed -- for me, it's the falafel and the owners! This unassuming little restaurant is one of the gems of Albany, CA and offers something for just about everyone -- carnivore, vegetarian and even vegan. They continue to develop their menu, and rely on suggestions from their oh-so-loyal followers to say yea or nay to ideas they come up with. If you've never had Middle Eastern food, this the place to start!
