Oak Forest Recovery has changed my life forever. Before this, I was unstructured, in and out of jail, on the streets, and had no genuine connections. I thought I had no chance at living a normal life. Upon getting into the men's sober living, I immediately noticed how strong the community was as well as the level of attention to detail to the clients. I needed that more than anything. Almost 7 months later, my life has completely flipped. They work a phenomenal 12 step program and show you how to live while simultaneously showing you how fun life can be in sobriety. I now have a relationship with my sister again. I have genuine relationships with my peers. Most of all I have been blessed with a job working with the same people that changed my life. I'm forever grateful for this program and what RJ, Tyson, and Oak Forest Recovery have done for me.

The first time I came to Oak Forest was back in 2022 at the treatment center which consists of a regimented PHP/IOP program for 90 days. The program was intense but the staff genuinely care about each clients well-being. Their program helped me learn far more about Alcoholics Anonymous and addiction as a whole. The second and third time I went to Oak Forest was to go to the mens sober living. The sober living is fairly structured with a multiple stage approach to what you can and cannot do whilst at the house (based off of time there and progress in the AA steps). Their approach is auspicious to sobriety and reintegration into society as a whole. Whilst there I made countless lifelong friends, had my life flipped around from homelessness and addiction to normality and connection, and have reconnected with my family. I literally wouldnt be alive without Oak Forests help and Im forever grateful Thank you to RJ, Tyson, and all of the staff at Oak Forest!

oak forest saved my life. I have never been to a structured 12 step program before oak forest. In fact , I didn't know such a place existed until I got here. The consistent daily meetings and emphasis on the importance of working the steps single handedly saved me. Nothing else worked for me. I had a relapse and my family had contacted tyson the house manager. The fact that Tyson and the staff were consistently checking on me with my family after care really displays what type of people are here at oak forest. The next day Tyson and Patrick were at my house doing a 12 step intervention. Did they need to go out of their way to do that? No, but when people actually care and love you that's what that looks like. I have never been around staff and management that actually care and are in it for the right reasons. Tyson, Patrick, kj, have all positively impacted my life and led by example. Always going above and beyond for my best interest.Not only did oak forest teach me how to love myself, but they loved me until I learned how. you will not find a community like this anywhere else, and if you're thinking about treatment stop wasting precious time and come down to the only place that's ever worked for me, which is oak forest.
