MEMS - Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services

Make sure when you are having a serious medical emergency and an Ambulance is called that you snap out of near death and ask if they are in or out of network with your insurance!! Not sure how these people sleep at night. They are disgusting and just as crooked as the insurance companies. Sad world we live in. Do better. I'd give one star if that was an option. Balancing billing is not legal. Call them? I have. Their billing department is incompetent bullies.

Beware: They will not take you to the closest hospital (UAMS). Even requested before MEMS leaves your house ahead of time. They will take you to a hospital over booked and no available emergency rooms (St. Vincent). The experience caused further delay and harm to the person with the emergency and all l peripheral personnel involved. They don't listen to the people who have the most information about the emergency. Medication list never passed from MEMS to ER transfer. MEMS put patient in wheelchair rolled the into ER waiting room like we had just walked in. (Hillcrest/Heights Area)

The medics are very great and treated my grandmother like their own family when taking her back home for hospice care.

Scam artist after your money, EMT said if we went to the ER they could diagnose my wife's cognitive decline, Nope! Takes lots of tests they don't do there and could take years to diagnose.
