I have been driving the same vehicle (2004 Honda CRV) SINCE 2005! I has been a great car for me as I am in the medical field and make numerous home visits daily for all these years. This past week, I was forced to make an upgrade, though I would have driven it longer if it were possible.
As a woman, walking onto a dealership lot over the past 40 years has not been a pleasant experience for me. Fast forward 18 yrs...I entered the world of internet car shopping! With much fear and trepidation, I started looking online. I wanted to buy something dependable with good gas mileage, and with retirement only 3 years away, I didn't want to overspend, but also have a comfortable trip vehicle that I could enjoy into my 70s.
I narrowed my search to a Subaru and submitted my inquiry. I waited for the salesperson to call me with about as much enthusiasm as I have while waiting for my next flu shot--just a dreaded necessary task of life.
I received a call from Doug Smock. His phone presentation was client oriented. He seemed he understood who he was dealing with in just a matter of a few sentences exchanged between us. I had a very narrow mindset of what I wanted/needed, and as the Subaru I wanted was no longer available I was at a loss as to where to go from there. During our phone conversation, Doug got to know me, my personality, lifestyle, priorities and plans for the future with regards to how my next vehicle could help me go another decade or more with safe driving. He respected my desire to stay within a certain price point and milage range. He was patient with me as I waffled between a few of the many great vehicles he showed me.
After that initial call, we spent the entire day together via phone texts and photos. I honestly felt like he dedicated his entire sales day to just me. He sent me photos and stats of several vehicles that would meet my needs and was patient with all my questions, answering them with the greatest care to be sure I understood exactly what he was telling me about each one. Beyond just showing me suvs, he guided me with the pros and cons of each one. During our day together I gleaned a lot of knowledge from his past years as a service manager. Doug made me feel safe and heard throughout the entire process. I trusted his expertise and excellent communication skills. I never one time felt like I was dealing with a pushy car salesman. (It felt more like a grandson was helping me buy a car--protective and caring in nature.) He helped me become more open-minded to other vehicles that I was not well informed about, and had even thought were above my price point. Doug worked with me and his team to get me in an suv that I had never dreamed was even a possibility--a 2015 Lexus!!
I never had to go to the dealership! The loan papers were done online and the vehicle was delivered to me at no added cost the very next day around 2pm! He said most people don't realize Red River Preowned dealership delivers your vehicles for free! That was another blessing in all this for me!
It was so amazing to go through that sales process with Doug by phone and not have to take off work at any time! Doug made a car-buying experience the very best car shopping experience I've ever had! I will be forever grateful, and will be referring him and Red River Preowned dealership to all my friends and family!
"Thank you!" just doesn't seem adequate to express my joy & appreciation! But... THANK YOU DOUG and thank you Red River Preowned! I'm one very happy customer and I'm out spreading the word on how great you all are to work with when it's time to upgrade your vehicle!

I visited this place about a week ago. The salesman Amy who answered the phone about a quick question I had automatically stamped me as "her sale" when that was not the case. She was very rude and had horrible customer service because I ended up working with a different salesman. She tried to purposely jeopardize me getting the vehicle I wanted. She is very unprofessional and for that reason I will not return or recommend this place to anyone.
