We booked a room for the eclipse, and to my happy surprise, the prices weren't inflated! The rooms were lovely--beds were very clean and fresh; there were plenty of fresh, clean towels; and the hotel owner was very generous with giving our kids candy, which was a big hit. I'd definitely recommend it!

This is basically a hotel for the working man. I would not bring my family here, but for the tradesman on the road it is affordable. It certainly is not the Hampton or the HI, but, it is half the price. One advantage for the working man is that you can park your truck right next to the room door. This is great for those of us who bring test equipment in at night or who bring our own food on the road and need quick access to our ice chests. Yes, it is dated, but the rooms are spacious (This was the Holiday Inn back in the day), and like any other budget motel, the beds and conditions vary.
