Very unhelpful, rude, and condescending in the Conway store. They don’t allow you to check out samples but MAYBE for a couple of hours, even that was asking too much. It was obvious they don’t need our business.

We bought the cabinets for our kitchen from Akel’s and absolutely love them. The installers were efficient and thorough. Would highly recommend them and they saved us a lot of money too.

Our family is very happy with the COREtec Plus vinyl plank flooring we purchased following a water loss. We chose a pattern, Antique Marble, that was in stock. Only the trim pieces had to be ordered; those arrived promptly. The installers were on time, courteous, professional and quick.
Staffing issues were the only complication. This resulted in the local store, where we shopped on a Saturday, being closed for several days the next week. No one was there to answer phone calls. No answering machine. No call forwarding. Plus, the employee we had dealt with in person had to be off for several days due to illness in family. At last, I was able to connect with a manager, who was resolving the personnel issues. He personally came to measure, and accepted the $100 discount coupon I had received by email.
Overall, the sales and service were excellent. And the flooring looks great.

Very poor customer service. We selected Akel's because we needed to replace the flooring in my dad's house in a hurry, and Akel's told us they had the materials in stock and could install within a week. About a week and a half later, they finally came out and began installing the wrong material. The installer had brought two different colors of vinyl flooring and was oblivious to it until my dad pointed it out. It then took several more days for Akel's to order the product they told us they had in stock in the beginning. When they finally installed the correct product, they still didn't have the proper trim pieces to finish it out and had to order those. Meanwhile, the installers left my dad's bedroom in shambles - with boxes stacked up blocking the entrance to his bathroom, the bed not in the right place, and pillows and other things all over the floor. Things they had moved to the living room were not returned to the bedroom. A piece of the bed frame's footing had fallen off when they moved the bed, and they just left the piece sitting on a counter. All this for a man who was recovering from surgery and was barely mobile. When I found out how the work had been performed, I called to see what could be done to make it right. All I got was excuses. I suggested the manager reduce the labor charge in light of what he candidly admitted was unacceptable work, but the manager said he would "look into it" and never got back to me. I would not recommend Akel's Carpet One for any type of floor installation.
