My wife dropped-off for a simple dry-cleaning/starching/pressing a nice, long-sleeved, white shirt for our son to be married in. It was supposedly ready on Wednesday. When my wife stopped by to get it on her way out of town early Thursday morning to prep for the wedding on Saturday morning, she discovered it had some sort of rust-colored streaks from the top of the right shoulder to the bottom of the right shirt tail. The owner said they were from his machine and he could try working on them. Obviously, no "Quality Control" was done by the staff as it was easily visible on the white shirt when my wife first saw it. Since the owner was not shocked and admitted it was from his machine, why would they use a machine at a cleaning business that they know puts rust marks on clothing...especially on a white shirt? The owner told her he would work on it personally and it would be ready IN ONE HOUR! I stopped by after 4pm (6-8 hours later) on my way out of town to the wedding and the worker didn't know anything about it, wasn't working on it (or anything else as far as I observed...just staring lazily out the door when I came in). Since he offered no status on the shirt, I finally coaxed him into taking some time out of his busy day and go try to find it. After a long time, he returned with it and the stains were still there. I asked him to call his boss which he didn't want to do. He was gone for a long time again and came back and told me that since my wife was leaving town, the owner ASSUMED he had all weekend to get back and work on it. My wife is an extremely detailed-oriented and communicative person...especially on critical things like the shirt my son needs for HIS WEDDING, so I am ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN she stressed that we had to have the shirt that day as we were all heading out of town to prep for the wedding that weekend and couldn't wait around for them to get around to cleaning the shirt at their leisure that was supposed to be ready the day before. That is why she got the 1-hour commitment from the owner and let him know that I would be picking it up later before leaving town myself. Since the worker wouldn't do anything and offered no solutions to the predicament they had caused, I finally just asked for a refund of the small fee so that I could get on the road and later attempt to clean it myself or find an actual clothes CLEANING business closer to the wedding venue...the worker couldn't or wouldn't refund the $2.50+tax. So, I asked him to call his boss again...and he wouldn't do that either. He said that his boss (the owner) told him that he would try working on it when he was back in the office...whenever that was going to be. I was touched by their too-late/useless offer, but I'm still not sure what the non-cleaning "worker" does or is authorized to do besides stare out the door and return clothing if he feels like it and the future ex-customers beg him hard enough for the return of their stained clothes. So, basically, WE PAID THEM to ruin our son's shirt, waste our time, delay our travel, feed us excuses, and not provide cleaning/customer service. (In hindsight, I guess we should have just ironed it at home and left on time.) Its been about a week and no one has bothered to contact us about the non-performance of their cleaning duties, lack of quality control, late timing (twice on one shirt), abysmal customer service, or to even offer a refund of our moneyI will not be back, but hopefully theyll spend my $2.50 on better equipment and employees authorized to do SOMETHING. If you still choose to go there, be sure to only take rust-colored clothing and not be too particular about when or how you get your clothing back. FYI: Just in case the owners ever read their reviews and are curious, yes, we had to get a different shirt for the wedding. Thanks for asking!
