Planet Beach

The majority of tanning salons I've used have the same specie of bored disinterested young woman working at the counter who seem appalled that a customer has come in to disturb them. Planet Beach, both on Ina and on Oracle, have enthusiastic and helpful people on the front desk, willing to inform and serve their customers in a friendly personal manner, with a minimum of "pushy" salesmanship. The salons are modern, attractive and clean. The equipment is new and in excellent condition. The bulbs are strong and tanning beds have big built in air conditioned blowers in them to keep ya nice and cool. And, the prices are quite reasonable! I am SO pleased!

I bought a tanning package at this salon. Had really high hopes. I left the store after purchasing the package elated. The first day I arrived at the salon (only a week, not even, after I purchased the package), I had arrived early due to my excitement to tan again. I waited for an hour and a half past opening. No one ever showed up. I kept calling the store. No one answered. There was a sign on the door saying that the salon was going to close, not that it did close. So I waited to see if someone would show to help to clarify the situation. Finally I called other Planet Beach salons and they contacted higher ups, they called me back and said that it seemed that the store closed. I drive by this salon almost every day and it remains closed. Luckily for me, another planet beach took care of me and helped me out in my distress. So Planet Beach's name remains intact in my mind. But this location on Ina rd infuriates me and I am so disappointed in those owners and in their morality, words don't even come close to how I feel. I heard such great reviews about this location and when I went to experience it for myself I was met with such let down. =(
