Karen Pope is an extremely caring and competent nurse midwife. There is no one I would recommend or trust more to my friends and family who are considering homebirth options. Karen is respectful and helps her clients make an informed decision every step of the way. My mom (who was present for the birth) was blown away with how caring, patient and knowledgeable Karen and her team were. I couldn't have asked for a better homebirth experience with Karen!!

Had my first at home birth with Graceful Beginnings... couldn’t have been happier and at peace with the decision. Very patient, sweet, and so supportive! I truly felt taken care of and safe. Will forever cherish receiving my 4th daughter at home with such a loving midwife.

Karen was a fantastic Midwife, from her prenatal care to the birth to postpartum. She is very thorough and respects the decisions you make for you and your baby. My husband and I appreciated her care and will be going back to her for any future kiddos :)

Karen is an INCREDIBLE midwife! I switched from a planned hospital birth to a home birth at 33 weeks due to COVID and Karen eased all of my worries. She constantly encouraged me and assured me that I was capable of natural birth. While I appreciated her encouragements, she was also very clear about the reality of my individual circumstances. She maintained mine and baby's health as the most important factor above all else. I can't say enough good things about her and Justin and our birthing experience with them! They are both incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what they do and you feel that from the second you meet them. HIGHLY recommend Graceful Beginnings as you welcome your new baby in the comfort of your own home! :)

I had such a wonderful experience with Karen and her team. I had so many fears and doubts about having a home birth but she really helped me push past my fears with facts and education on home births. My water birth was so empowering and beautiful. It’s something I will never forget! I am so grateful for that experience! Karen allowed my body to take the wheel while still being diligent in her role. She also goes above and beyond when it comes to informed consent. She gave me so much knowledge and information on procedures, labs, and tests while still respecting my decisions. One a different note, I was so happy that I didn’t have have to go to the hospital or clinic for my appointments. She came to me which is such an amazing thing during times like this! It was great not having to find childcare or wait hours to see the doctor. I honestly can’t say enough good things about Karen and her team. I trust her completely and would recommend her to anyone!!
