Over three days, Edd's and Co. repaired interior and exterior wall damage in the living room and kitchen areas of my house caused by a water pipe break in the ceiling. The repairs included re-insulation, interior drywall repair (floor to 12-foot ceiling) with taping, texturing, etc., exterior stucco repair, interior and exterior painting, wood ceiling restoration, and a few other damages. All of the repaired areas look like they were never damaged. Every element of Edd's and Co. work was excellent. They arrived on time, worked diligently throughout the day, and were consistently polite, cheerful, and professional. They cleaned up the work areas as appropriate each day and informed me of items scheduled for the next day. I have used their services twice and would not hesitate to call them again should I need their expertise. I highly recommend this company for water damage repair, remodeling, and painting. We hired Edd & Co. LLC to paint our oak stained doors and trim on the interior of our house. THe initial quote for cost and time was in line with several other contractors and the reviews on different sites (Home Advisor etc) were high enough that we chose them over a larger painting contractor in the Phoenix area. The project started perfectly and we were happy with the professionalism and flexibility of the crew. After we hit the 10 day point ( initial quoted timeframe for the project) we began to talk to Edd and Edd Jr about when we could expect to be finished and if the project wa more difficult than they previously anticipated. They told us it would be most likely another 7 or so days and we would be finished. As the 3rd week turned into 4 we began to notice more workers that were not painters showing up, not speaking English and they’re work was very subpar...at best. Several times we communicated to Edd Sr. that there were runs very noticeable and that w were seeing damage to drywall and flooring in the bedrooms. Edd informed us that he would return as many times as needed until we were satisfied with the work, but as soon as they received the payment for the project (end of week 4) they left within a couple of hours of being paid and never returned to complete the project and address the damage. All of our interior doors, our front door and French doors had to be removed to be sanded and painted and were all rehung incorrectly so much so that opening and closing the doors began causing damage to the trim immediately. We asked Edd Jr and Sr to address the issues and they’re reply was that the house was old and with old homes things never go back on quite right. A week after they left we hired Guy Merchant from Merchant Services to come over and look at the issue and within 1 1/2 hours he properly rehung all of our doors and showed us where the inexperience of the painting contractors had actually damaged the door and its hardware. I reached out to Edd in late March 2018 to communicate my concerns and the fact that the job was not finished, pointing out the areas which were left incomplete and how this breached the contract that THEY had drawn up and we both signed. He, Edd Sr., promised via phone and text, they would return the first week of April to make everything right (project started in January 2018) and fix any subpar work (runs and areas where the oak stain was not sanded and showed through the paint). Well the first week of April came and there was no call nor Edd Sr or Jr. I called both numbers and no one showed up nor returned any calls. I gave them until the end of the month of April to call or return but I received no calls and no emails. They did indicate that they’re reputation was very important so I am giving this review to show a side of this company that we experienced which was not the 4 plus star company we thought we had hired. If you consider hiring this company please note that their initial work was very good but as week 2-4 came and went it got worse and worse to the point where several trim areas in our house the paint has peeled and began lifting off the trim. I don’t know if the paint was watered down to make it stretch but the trim we have painted since that was left undone, has not had the same issues...and we are not pros. Buyer beware.
