    These people were horrible. They made a mistake on their end and did nothing to help me. After trying to speak with 6 different prople , (all of them did nothing tonhelp me) i just gave up and close my policies

    This company is by far the worst insurance company in North America. I got a policy with them that initially was very reasonable. Within 1 month (literally one payment to the next) that policy increased $30 and I was never informed. When I called to discuss the changes I was informed there was nothing anyone could do and the rates were the best they could do. So I dealt with it. In October of this year I dropped one vehicle from My policy and added one. Before this I called MetLife to get a quote and see how this would affect my payments. I was informed that my policy was going to drop $20 with the new vehicle, again one payment went through for the amount I was quoted and the next month it jumped $60. Once again I called because this time I had emails with MetLife reps names and the exact info I was told regarding My policy. Again I was told there was nothing anyone at MetLife could do and the info I was given was incorrect and this was the best rates. I was passed around to retention and other departments. No one was willing to back the emails or even get me close to what the original quote was. I was able to find an insurer in Liberty Mutual who gave me better rates on my car, motorcycle, and renters insurance as well as even more features to my policies for $75 a month less than MetLife. I called MetLife on Wednesday 12/18 and cancelled my policy. I was told all was ready for my policy to cancel, it would not renew and there would be a refund coming back to me. Knowing the hassle MetLife has caused previously I called today 12/20 to confirm all was in order... Guess what!?.. It wasn't. My policies were not set to cancel on 12/20 and I was informed that regardless of me cancelling my policies before the payment was to come out they were going to bill me for the entire policies and then refund me in 1 month from today... NO I think not. I had to literally close my bank account to prevent them from taking payment because they would not stop the auto payment deduction on their end. These are the games you can expect from MetLife. Lack of care, compassion, and morals. They will bill you for however much they want, disregard you and a customer and person and then tell you there's nothing they can do for you. Id highly advise you take your business elsewhere and disregard this company completely.
