Carlene was wonderful! She went above and beyond assisting me with getting a new checking account opened after mine was compromised. She, Cody and Chandler stayed after clslosing time to make sure I was taken care of, especially since it's a holiday weekend. They made a difficult time very easy and gave me one less, very important thing to worry about.

I became a recent BMO harris customer and was impressed by the fast service at the bank. For a checking account, the process is pretty easy and you get the debit card right away which was impressive. However, I was disappointed by some other aspects of the bank. For it's credit card services, the bank manager who approached me told that it will be a soft check. But, a hard check from BMO popped up few days later on all my credit reports. This shows the selfish interests from the bank's side. When I sent an email asking about it to the manager, there is no reply. That costs 2 stars. I was really disappointed and until that point I recommended BMO credit card, but not any more. Plus,when I had to block my card on the app, there is no such option. If you call up the customer service number, it's going to take a significant time until you get connected. It's pretty frustrating. The pending fraudulent transactions did get taken care of and the dispute resolution team were good with that. Also, a new card will be issued (free) to replace the stolen one. For checking account, I don't have any complaints. The atm charges that the bank takes for using non-network ATMs( pretty standard for many) and no-block card option on the app are drawbacks. For credit card, I would not recommend based on the trustworthiness and returns (low cashback and meagre promo bonus).
