It was a standard room with breakfast place, conveniently located on Bell Street about a four mile straight drive from Peoria stadium. The kitchette was a welcomed feature with a microwave and mini refrigerator that was big enough to hold a few days of leftovers. It's also close to a mini mall and several places to eat. I would stay there again

I really struggled with my rating on this one. I really wanted to give it an overall 4 or 5. Instead it gets an overall 3. I was happy to get a free upgrade out the gate due to scheduling. I was also excited that the upgraded room included a patio door that walked straight out to the pool. Unfortunately, the patio was covered in pigeon droppings which made me not want to step out there. There were also pigeons and ducks in the grassy area between the patio and the pool. There was a man made pond right next to the pool which I believe attributed to this. Nevertheless, on day 2 of my stay, their staff did spray off the patio without me having to ask which I appreciated. Overall, the suite room was well appointed. There was a separate kitchenette area with a sink, fridge, and microwave which were all spotless. The shower was clean yet it had a 6 inch long hair still stuck to the side wall. There was also some kind of stain in bathroom sink that seemed like it could have been cleaned off. The overall room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The iron was old and missing the temperature knob and had some cracks. In spite of the poor cosmetic condition of the iron, it still got the job done. The laundry room was great with a huge folding table. The machines worked great; however, they were pretty shabby looking. The free breakfast was super awesome and the staff was amazing! Lastly, the carpet in the hallways was very dated and puckering in spots...I'd say it needs to be replaced sooner rather than later. Again, the stay was overall great. My main gripe is that for nearly $300/night, I would expect things to be a bit more updated. If I were spending $100/night, I don't think I'd be as critical.
