New to the area we thought we'd try to find some good Mexican food. We came in during what was "happy hour" which we came to find only applies to the bar area. Thinking we'd experience drink specials and some great food specials we sat in the bar.
We waited over 20 minutes for a server who then took about 20 minutes to get the drinks (after suggesting their margaritas, of course). There were no food specials to speak of when you looked at regular menu prices. They did have appetizers at a discount but nothing remarkable. The margaritas were served in regular glasses. The food was actually not edible. The service was non-existent. To top it off - those happy hour margaritas she offered turned out to be $20 each. Yes, we should have asked the price - but really didn't mind paying a premium for the Cuervo instead of well. We just NEVER anticipated the up-selling would be so atrocious that it would be $20 for a margarita that came was pre-mixed and came out of a machine.
The fajita salad had wilted lettuce and hardly any steak in it. The chimichanga was small, greasy and had terrible meat in it. My husband's got tacos and they were edible at best... not at all like you would expect from a "restaurant" - more like a cheap drive-through item. OH can't forget the desert!! The sopaipillas which are usually served fried, hot and (quote from google description here): is soft, sweet dough (made with flour), flash-fried to puff up into a pillow and drizzled with honey. HA! They were microwaved, chewy, had no honey and we didn't even eat one of them. Nor did we complain because you couldn't get the attention of anyone to even complain to.
Paid the bill and left.... never to go back again.
