My family and I booked 1 night here before heading to other areas of Arizona. Our flight from NC to Phoenix was extremely delayed (obviously not the fault of the hotel), so the drive from Phoenix to Sedona was late at night. After driving through rain/snow/sleet through the mountains and not getting to the hotel until around midnight, on top of being awake for almost 24 hours, we were ready to get some sleep. We were given a room down the road a little ways, but there was no parking close by. So we had to park quite far away. That meant we had to drag all of our luggage across the parking lots in the rain and cold. Get to our room and there was already someone in the room! Obviously they weren't too happy about me trying to get into the room either! So now we had to walk all the way back to the car with our luggage, in the cold and rain again. Back at the lobby, they said the only other room available was with 1 bed and a pull out couch (there were 4 of us, including my 77 year old mother). We had no choice but to take it because we had to get to sleep. The room they switched us to was supposed to be one of their "better rooms" according the front desk and this was supposed to be their "apology". It wasn't really that nice. Kind of worn out, run down and needed a good cleaning. The views and area were nice, but I would not plan on coming back to this hotel again. They ended up refunding us the $25 "resort fee". After paying over $400 for the night, that was kind of a slap in the face. I know the flight delay and weather were not their fault, but this was a very disappointing and very aggravating stay. I feel they definitely should have done more than refunding the $25 resort fee. It was definitely not a good way to start our Arizona vacation! I hope the people that were already in our room complained as well, because they were pretty angry also. As they should have been!

The hotel staff was phenomenal! The restaurant was so good, and the wait staff and bartenders were beyond accommodating. While the rooms were a little outdated, the beds were comfortable and the space was larger than most hotel rooms. Highly recommend!

Ultimately our experience here was just disappointing and, for the price we paid (through their website, it was nearly $500/night), we expected a lot more. Lets start with the good: the location is great, the staff was friendly in our experience, and the restaurant has some excellent food. Unfortunately, our good experience stopped there. The rooms are incredibly dated, smelled a little funny, and unfilled screw holes littered various areas on the walls. Gym and pool area are the same and just didn't seem well taken care of. Walking into our first room, my pregnant wife legitimately started crying wondering why we spent so much money on this hotel. Whatever, we shrugged it off, assumed we wouldn't spend very much time in the rooms, and moved on. Maybe 2 hours after unpacking all of our stuff, someone in the room above us turned on the shower and water began pouring out of the light fixture onto our clothes and other stuff. We called the front desk and they gave us a new room, but honestly didn't give much in the way of an apology for the inconvenience. No compensation offered, no discount at the restaurant, barely an "I'm sorry for the issues". There were other issues as well that aren't really worth rambling about here (e.g., our neighbors in the new room deciding to bounce a basketball around their rooms at 7am our first morning) but long story short, I can't recommend this property for the high price they are charging, other hotels in the area are likely a better deal.
