Scott English Photo

My husband and I were married on Leap Day 2020. After consulting with serval photographers, we decided to hire Scott. I knew myself, my husband, and my friends and family would be comfortable around him - which was important for such a big day. Scott is polite, respectful, and thoughtful. Scott was great to work with during the entire process. Scott was willing to travel to Sedona for our engagement session for a very reasonable travel fee. Scott met with us before the wedding to make sure he knew exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Scott was great at making sure to get the photos we requested, but as an artist, he also captured images from throughout the day that were extremely authentic, fleeting, and special - images that captured what made our wedding "our" wedding. Scott is an excellent photographer, a true artist, and a genuine person - if you hire him you will not be disappointed. (I am not uploading photos which include people's faces to be respectful of our friends and families privacy, but trust me, Scott is expert at capturing the emotional moments and expressions that reflect those moments throughout the day.)

If I could give Scott more stars I would. He took our engagement photos and they came out spectacular. It's extremely difficult to find a photographer without the notion and fear of having to pose for ackward and un-natural photos and Scott created a natural atmosphere with true emotion through his use of real questions before the photos and portable music player. The pictures not only meet our expectations, but surpassed them. We loved him so much, we wanted to fly him out for our Chicago wedding, unfortunately he is booked. You won't regret it!!!

My husband and I couldn't have been more pleased with our experience with Scotty as our engagement and wedding photographer. I personally hate being in front of the camera and I tend to feel very awkward, but with Scotty it was a very different experience. He has this amazing ability to set up special moments for yourself and your partner where you can act natural and truly be in the moment with your significant other. It was like he wasn't even there and it was just the two of us, and that's how it should be! I would recommend Scotty to any of my friends for wedding, portrait, landscape... you name it! Incredibly friendly and enjoyable to work with.

What really sets Scott apart is his great personality and kindness. My mother gets extreme anxiety in front of a camera and doesn't like having her picture taken. On my wedding day I really wanted some photos of my Mom. Scott put her totally at ease and got the most beautiful pictures of me and my mom together. I wept when I saw them. They were the first pictures I have of my mom where she looked like herself-- beautiful and so happy! I will be forever grateful to Scott for capturing that priceless moment and so many others. I love the joy and happiness that he captures through his camera. Hard working, professional, and honest.
