While Dr Iacovelli maybe proficient medically, her ability to run a doctors office and her regard and respect for her patients is horrifically lacking. Numerous times I was made to feel I was an imposition and had to make many calls to follow up on referrals, labs, and appointments. It was never easy to connect. I was always made to feel I was in the wrong. It is her way or no way. Her office is run in a way I have never experienced, including the dog that many may like , but I find distracting and dirty as I sit in a chair in only my backless gown where the dog was just sitting Perhaps it is me, but I would take my business, and medical treatment elsewhere.

Edit: I have seen Dr. Iacovellis response stating that she did not prescribe me to Triostat and believes Ive made it up. Triostat is just a brand name for Liothyronine (as is Cytomel), and a cursory Google search will confirm this.Similar to what other reviews have stated, Dr. Iacovelli diagnosed me with hypothyroidism and prescribed me to Synthroid (aka Levothyroxine) and Triostat (aka Liothyronine) while also starting me on a Vitamin D regimen. I noticed an improvement initially, which I attributed to the Synthroid and Triostat. After moving across the country for a new job, I established care with a new physician to treat my hypothyroidism. I also spoke with two other healthcare providers, one of whom has an endocrinology background. After showing all three of them my lab results from the two years when I was under Dr. Iacovelli's care, none of them could understand why she'd diagnosed me with hypothyroidism. All of my levels (T3, T4, and TSH) were well within the normal range at the start of care, and after being on Synthroid/Triostat for six months, some of my levels were actually worryingly HIGH. (As a disclaimer, all three providers said it's possible she based her diagnosis on something she was seeing that they could not. However, they also all stated they wouldn't have diagnosed me with hypothyroidism.) I realize medical professionals can only make judgement calls based on the information in front of them, and maybe there's some crucial detail missing that led Dr. Iacovelli to believe I had hypothyroidism -- but it's really unclear what that would be. And after seeing other reviews mentioning similar experiences (and personally knowing other people who've received the same diagnosis & medication regimen from her), there's clearly something....odd happening here. The thing is, I DID feel better after starting the medication. My mood and energy did a complete 180. However, this turned out to be a side effect of the Vitamin D regimen and had nothing to do with the thyroid meds. The other thing that concerned me was the office's approach to weight management. When I was ready to discuss weight loss programs, I was handed a sheet with several program options, all of which consisted of a various cocktail of supplements in a range of pricing options. And of course, the more money you shell out, the "faster" your results will be. I readily admit I'm not a nutritionist or fitness expert, but neither am I totally ignorant of healthy eating & weight loss principles. I also recognize a money grab when I see one. If these programs had been accompanied by, say, nutrition counseling and/or a customized meal plan to teach healthy eating habits, that'd be one thing. Unfortunately, at the time, I was desperate for a solution and gave one of the plans a try. But after purchasing it, I asked the nurse what I was supposed to eat, to which she replied "just google the HCG diet." Gee, thanks. For the record, the HCG diet is essentially an eating disorder (300 - 500 calories a day, no dairy, carbs, or sugar). That's not a lifestyle change -- that's a crash diet. Anyway, TL; DR: if you receive a hypothyroidism diagnosis from Dr. Iacovelli, I'd recommend getting a second opinion. Also, be wary of any doctor's office that tries to sell you crash dieting as an effective weight management solution.

Dr Jennifer Iacovelli is the best! Before she opened her own practice here, I was her patient elsewhere and I was so sad when I lost her. I literally tracked her down and found her again!! Was sosososo happy to have seen that she opened her own practice and was able to remain her patient. She's such an amazing DR! She takes the time to really get to know you and what you need. You'll never look for another Dr again! I've moved all over the valley and no matter where I go, I'll travel to see her.

I have been seeing Dr Iacoveli for 4 years. Recently I had an appointment that I missed in Sept. I have called numerous time from Sep-Dec and sent messages on her website. I never received a call back, text message or voice mail. Yesterday, Dec 6th I drove 20 min to her office to see if anyone was still there since there never seems to be a human to answer the phones. After finally talking to a lady, Dr Iacoveli came out with a patient. I waited till she was done and tried to have a conversation with her. She wanted nothing to do with me. She said that she had called and told me she put me on a wait list and they were booking out after June 2023. I let her know that I had not received a miscall or voice message from her. That is when she became very irritated with me. I asked her if she would like me to see another dr. At that point she became angry and said "you do what you want". I asked her if she had any recommendations and she responded "no that is why I started my practice" and walked away. I left the office thinking that I have NEVER been treated with so much disrespect especially from a medical doctor. I decided to go back to the office to see why she was so irritated and disrespectful to me when I was just coming in to try and reschedule a missed appointment. She became even more irritated and I then asked if I could please have my records sent to me. She said she would send them at a later time, she didn't have time. She again told me that she did call me from her phone which is blocked number as she was shaking her phone at me. At this point she began to raise her voice at me and stated "you didn't get your labs done, you missed your appointment and you expect me to drop everything for you!" I told her that I never asked her to "drop everything for me" I was only trying to reschedule my appt and that I have never been treated like this before. She yelled at me and told me "GET AT OF MY OFFICE, GET OUT OF MY OFFICE!" While pointing to the door. I left with my heart beating fast and wondering what the hell just happened? Today I received an email from her with the paperwork to send my records. She stated "that she has never been told she was a lair before"... I don't think I ever told her she lied. I said I did not have a missed call or VM from her or her office. She has always been very kind and very knowledgeable in her field. However, she must have a very short fuse and may want to check her hormone balance. I know that she had changed her practice to be a "concierge" practice and probably does not want to continue to see patients who use insurance. If this is the case I would have appreciated a phone call rather than being ignored and then yelled at. Last year I had scheduled my daughter to see her. They asked her to come in 30 min prior to the appt. She arrived 20 min prior and started completely the paperwork. Dr came out and asked her to leave and that she could not see her because she was late. I should have known at that time there were some issues with her behavior. I would strongly suggest that you find another doctor that has better overall manners and someone who can control their anger. DO NOT SEE THIS DR!
