Italian Grotto

Owner was awful. He was our waiter. Wish they had good reviews so my review would stand out. This is just going to get lost in the sea of other negative reviews.... DO NOT EAT HERE. Saw a rat in the restaurant. 😷

Worst dining experience ever. Told the waiter that the pasta was mushy. He said ok. Told the waiter he gave us the wrong bottle of wine. He said it was the same price anyway. I told him I won’t make a big deal out of it, bu that was not true. I told him I will adjust the tip, he swore at me then threatened me. Unbelievably unprofessional. Awful. Stay away.

We were out celebrating a friends birthday and we were riding around in the electric scooters trying to find a place to eat, found this place and decided to eat here. We wanted to sit at the bar and I asked for a restroom and the bartender right away told us with an attitude “this is not a public restroom” I responded by saying I know that we were going to eat there but I needed the restroom and then proceeded to say “Ok, well you all can’t go in there”. With total attitude the entire time. I said never mind thank you for the help and I was going to leave a bad review and his deminor towards us change. I get it, the area is busy and I am sure a lot of people walk in to try and use the restroom but there is a way to express their concerns not yell at us.

Sat down with a group, we all went to the washrooms to wash our hands. Neither the mens and womens toilets would flush and no running water in sinks to wash your hands or paper towel to dry them. Both were filthy. They were located near kitchen which was just as filthy. Gross. Once we all came back to the table, it was clear that they clearly didn't replace the table cloth between services (food and grime all over it). We decided to leave. As we left, the owner yelled at us when we told him we thought the washrooms looked filthy - he told us that there were probably restaurants that were as filthy where we were from. He threw a card at us on the way out. Don't waste your time/money there.
