Every time I stay at a fairmont property, I say wow. This was no exception. Having such high expectations from staying at the properties in Victoria and Whistler BC, I found this to be the same high standards. From the rooms to the check in staff, beautiful breakfast, resident golden retriever, bird patrol. Everything was seamless, especially during the spring break time, its a hard feat to pull off. I will definitely be back!

It was nice but not nearly as good as some of the other Fairmont hotels we have stayed at. We came for my birthday in April and stayed in a gold room. We were pleasantly surprised at checkout to receive an upgrade to a room with a view of the golf course.
The room itself was nice, though the decor was slightly outdated. The bed was absolutely incredible (try relaxation mode), and the space was pretty large- especially the bathroom.
I'm told this is one of the largest Fairmont properties and it shows. It did feel a bit under staffed. There were some lengthy waits for golf cart transport and our room was never cleaned by housekeeping. We ended up having to do the pull out bed ourselves after waiting for 1/2 and hour at 9pm for someone to come do it. Despite giving them a window in which they could come clean and make beds via text, they never came. There also needs to be either more staff around to ask or more signage. We got lost walking the property so many times.
We were underwhelmed by the gold lounge. This lounge was quite small and offered little in the way of food and beverage options for breakfast and happy hour. I also expected them to be able to recognize by name, as this was how other gold lounges are, but there was no birthday wishes or addressing by name. The Fairmont in Victoria was huge with tons of options, knew us all by name, and even brought us a slice of birthday cake and a card signed by the staff for my daughters birthday. We just didn't get that above-and-beyond level of service at this location- not even close.
We went to 3 of the 6 pools. Each with a different vibe. Lots and lots of families at all except the adults only ones.
The spa really was incredible. The rooftop pool and bar was nice. Showers and facilities were lovely.
We only had the restaurant, Toro. It was just okay. And it's not actually on-property.. you have to take a shuttle to get there.
Overall, it was a nice hotel and we would likely stay here again in the future.
Rooms: Some of the gold rooms look over the "party hole" on the WM PGA golf course.
Walkability: It is possible to walk the property. It's maybe a 15 min walk end to end- not too bad. There are also golf carts available to take you where you want to go.
Food & drinks: Lots of food and beverage options on property. Most pools have a pool bar and someone that will come around and serve poolside.
