Scammers, I've been contacted by someone claiming she wanted to use zelle as payment, and got an email from this company with very suspicious details, one of which asked for person banking info.

Most consumers do not understand that a DEBT is a DEBT whether you pay it off or not it is still considered a DEBT unfortunately. Consumers do not understand that if a bank does not choose to do business with you that is their decision not the consumer reporting agency choice to make. 95% of banks report to Early Warning.

This is a legitimate company, however: they send out letters (at least to residents of Colorado) that indicate a number of credit inquiries have been reported to them in the last 12 months, which requires them to inform you of the same. With that letter is a form that requests an ENORMOUS amount of information from you - literally everything someone would need in order to steal your identity. There is a "Reference ID" number on the cover letter, but the people who field calls for the company either cannot, or will not, look that number up, nor can/will they tell you based on that number whether or not the company did, in fact, send the letter. Everything about these letters smacks of fraud/phishing. One would think that a company like this would do a better job of making people comfortable that their correspondence is legitimate. The company's purpose is a good one, but they fall severely short in the execution of that purpose.
