Bought a home with Morgan Taylor almost 2 years ago and we love the home. The home we got was a Speck and the options they chose for it were nice.

Morgan Taylor Homes was absolutely amazing! We purchased our very first home from them and they easily walked us through the process and were available for questions at any time. Lynn in sales found us the home when inventory was at a historic low. It was an impossible find and she made it happen. My family thanks you immensely Lynn! Without you we would not be in the area we are at now! Trevor, their superintendent running our homes construction was great! Even with all the shortages we are experiencing he pushed through and finished the house within 1 week of the schedule! Trevor's experience and attention to detail made this project flow smoothly from start to finish. This home was built during one of the most difficult times in recent history for construction as far as labor and materials and the Morgan Taylor Team didn't even bat an eye. I would recommend them for your build any time!

All I can say is read the change order clause thoroughly before executing the builder agreement with Morgan Taylor. Had a firm understanding of excavation costs up front and signed an agreed not to exceed amount of $50,000.00 3/17, I was hesitant to do this without a survey but with there experience in the area we were building went ahead with it. Suffice to say it took months before they even were able to get the inspection done on our land, and once that was obtained they told us there were unforeseen circumstances that would result in a change order to our excavation of $112,170.00! We received this 5/8, in the end we were unable to prequalify wasted months of time and effort and an additional $5,000.00 deposit to Morgan Taylor which they’re not refunding due to “costs” associated with the survey.

WOW Let's get started on this long review. Please know I am not the type to leave reviews AT ALL but I have to save people from using this company. From the start, we had noticed shortcuts being taken on the foundation, drywall that was not leveled and when brought to the contractors attention, they would lie and say its fixed and I would go over there and find out they didn't do it. This has happened MANY times where the contractor tells the agent he has fixed something and didn't. I was given an original closing date of 2/15 and here we are near the end of April with no closing in sight. I have even caught the contractor at the house many times and he was so unprofessional even after I explained our situation. For example, I was being told for 2 weeks that we couldn't close cause the house needed countertops. For one week straight I was told they were being "put in." I stopped by at the end of the week to catch the contractor barely dropping them off LOL. This alone caused us to miss my rate lock date and had to get my THIRD extension. Even after advising all the fees we were having to pay due to them not meeting the deadline, they did not care. Now the house is "done" but it is sooooo sloppy. Paint splatters everywhere, holes in the ceiling where they were supposed to put the ceiling fans in, chipped stucco all around the house. The list goes on. But at this point, my family has not had a roof over their head for so long we are having to move into the home not loving it like we should to avoid pushing closing back another 2 months. No they have not tried to make it better no matter how much I call and email. DO NOT USE THEM. Go with someone more reputable so you can ensure the job is done right. I am now worried of all the stuff we are going to find down the line that was not done correctly.
