    Ocean City--MD I wish I could have given this a better review but our first room was full of musty odor and stains. The second room was better but once we got settled we noticed that the pillows and sheets were stained. My kids have allergies and they immediately started sneezing. We did complain and housekeeping sent new sheets, etc. but those weren't clean either. My husband and I ended up going to the local Walmart to purchase fresh linens. We washed the dirty hotel sheets but it seemed like the stains were embedded. 2nd room was full of dust and that is where my kids were staying and had trouble breathing. Upon checkout, I went to the front desk to express my experience and the front desk manager said that the general manager would be in on Monday and I could send over any pictures and he would address my concerns. I did email my complaint along with the photos to the general manager. He (Mark Elman) contacted me via email and said that he would credit my stay partially and thanked me for pointing out my concerns. He noted that I should also contact the 3rd party booking company (Agoda) as they are slow to process refunds. Fast forward to August two weeks ago –I sent an email to Mr. Mark Elman (General Manager of Clarion Hotel/Marigot Beach Suites) to check the status of the refund request and he informed me that he submitted the request for the partial refund on July 27. He suggested I follow up with Agoda and if they had any issues to call him. I did follow up with Agoda and spoke to their representative (Rhea) and she could find no request for refund. She placed me on hold and did a deeper search, got a supervisor and still nothing. She then called the hotel but the general manager (Mr. Elman) was not in and the front desk manager had no information on my booking refund request. She told me she left a message and as soon as Mr. Elman got in touch with them that they would contact me. Since then, I have emailed Mr. Elman 2x with no response and emailed the general Clarion hotel corporate office as well as called with no success. I really enjoyed my stay in OCMD with my family (outside of the hotel experience). I wish I could say I would return to the Marigot (especially since this was my 2nd time there). However, I seriously doubt I would return if rooms are as dirty as they were and the communication when it comes to refunds falls on deaf ears. I was hopeful at the beginning when Mr. Elman was responsive but now I am disappointed that he has not responded or anyone from the hotel for that matter. I will keep reaching out though. Just beware if you are looking at this hotel—snap pics and take your complaints to them immediately and if you book through a 3rd party like I did be sure to contact them as well with the complaint. Still waiting on refund. #disappointed Hope this review helps.

    My son moved to Phoenix AZ for work he is an essential worker the staff was rude and prejudice he works for 10-12 hours a day never disrespectful but all of a sudden they would not allow him to check in stating the policy of the hotel is that after you have stayed with them for more than 7 days you are not allowed to check back in for 72 hours he has been at this hotel for 3 weeks never mentioned the policy I have stayed with Choice hotels most of my career since I travel for work never heard of this policy but I will be changing the preferred hotel for the company I work for and we will never give Choice Hotels our business again

    My family and I stayed at WoodSpring suites for an extended period of time. Our stay was horrible. The manager named Cristen and the General Manager Tarell made up a story that I did not pay for the internet. They locked me and my family out of the room. My toy poodle dog was in the room. The managers told me that I would not be able to get my dog until I pay for Internet fees that I did not owe. I called the company that’s over the Internet for woods springs. They confirmed that I paid for the service. Then the two managers said because I called the police that I had to leave the premises I only called the police for my dog to be release. My dog that they were holding captive and the two managers told me I can only get him if I paid 40.00 dollars. I will be holding Woodspring Suites responsible for any items that I’m missing . I will also be holding them responsible for any items that are damaged . We have paid Woodspring suites a total of 13,016.05 . My family and I have always paid in a timely manner.
