In a nutshell, project was supposed to take 8 weeks and it's been over 22 weeks and still undone and no timeline provided. (Nothing new)
We hired Andrew to add 480 sq ft addition to our home which included a kitchen.
Andrew just cannot seem to get the project done. He doesnt make a schedule, no sense of urgency and has a general lack of empathy for the situation he has placed us in. He told us we would be without a kitchen for 9 days, it's been 90+! He had to reschedule our kitchen cabinet install twice because he was not ready.
We started this project in March expecting to be done end of May before summer heat. Well still not done and half of our house has no ac. Ive repeatedly tried to express the urgency to finish, but he makes no effort. We have two small kids, no kitchen, and a project that should have been done months ago! So yes we are mad!
Not only are we extremely disappointed with the timeline, it's his lack of any effort to manage the project that causes so many issues for us. We have on numerous occasions had to buy materials because he didn't supply the trades with materials. He pretty much demanded we go pick up boards of sheet rock so his subs can finish, while they drink beer and leave junk all over. Classy I know.
He also consistently invoiced for work half done and pretty much demanded we pay the same day he billed. About the only thing he was fast at was cashing our checks!
Weve learned alot about how to vet a contractor's. He was eager to start and take our money, but that is where his effort stopped.
