Spent a weekend here, as a leader, with my church preteen group. The staff is amazing. Scout was beyond great and helpful with every detail.

Over a period of 10 years, every year I have been to this camp and I have noticed a decline in the maintenance of the cabins and the food. I don't like to be negative but I did want to share my experience because I am a person who eats almost everything and this year the food was a little unpleasant. Maybe inflation has something to do with it? Don't know.

The food was only so so, and the bunk beds were fine jr high but real small for adults

I came to UCYC with my church for our yearly congregational retreat with the expectations of great things from God and with the camp. Our services were beautiful and amazing we were all truly having a great time. There were a few complications with the sound equipment and in trying to use the projectors and there was no help from the staff even though we had paid for a sound engineer to be there during our services and he was no where to be found. There was also poor communication on the camps part as in one staff member agreeing with us when asked if we were allow to do something and another staff member saying that was not the agreement and since there is no proof of the conversation so it never happened. I really expected more from UCYC since this was not our first time there and we never experienced so many problems as we did this time around. It was extremely upsetting when we were told if you are not off the premises, within 15 minutes, you would be trespassing, and other measures would have to be taken and the worst part of this was that we were in the middle of and amazing sermon. I hope no one else would have to experience what we did.
