    I went into Desert Rat as a return customer and left as one that will never return. I had purchased new shocks from them and had them install the shocks for me thinking they had the knowledge and wherewithal to do so. Come to find out, the front two shocks were installed incorrectly, causing my truck to ride rough and the shocks to bottom out very easily. So I had to bring the truck back, costing me another day with a vehicle, to have the job done correctly. I expected a sincere apology at minimum from a business of this size, but didnt even receive that. So unfortunate as I expected nothing but the best from them.

    Update 2/23/23:This morning, I received a phone call from Tim Furrier the owner of Desert Rat in regards to my being overcharged in the store for a part. He expressed his disappointment in what occurred and that I was correct in my review. He advised that he makes every attempt to provide his customers with a wonderful experience in his store, but he said that he has newly hired employees who are unaware on how to handle certain issues. He will take this opportunity to provide training in customer service for his employees. He assured us that this incident doesn't represent them as a business. I am truly impressed with his commitment to providing customer service and for reaching out to me. Elena GDesert Rat is just not interested in providing customer service or even mediocre service, but just plain bad service. My husband called and sales person advised that he had the part in hand and ready for pick up. We do not live close by and drove for 30 minutes. When we get there not the correct part. They advised they have one in Tempe and will have it on Monday for us and will call me to let me know when it arrives and price is $24.99. No call Monday and so I called on Tuesday - Travis said we just got the part in. We go there and price on box is marked $27.99 and price is $30.99 in the computer. I asked him 3 times about the price discrepancy and each time he said I will I give you the best deal.  After overcharging me, I brought this to his attention again about the higher priced item on my receipt. He said that the transaction is done and he can not do anything about it. We can talk to a manager about the price issue. He never called the manager over and kept on repeating himself like a broken record! So what happened to the $24.99 price? The 2 star rating It is not the loss of a few dollars, but about being ignorant and not honest with your customers. Buy your jeep parts elsewhere. Don't trust what they quote you. Poor business practice. I will not shop with them again.

    Absolutely disappointed in my experience here. Bought 4 new tires for my Silverado and upon pick up the wheel weights were hitting the brake calipers I went back and they fixed it by relocating the weights on the front wheels also they broke a wheel stud off the back hub. So forward 3 months and I go to rotate my tires to find out that the weights on the rear wheels would not clear the front brakes. This is after I spent the time to pull the axle shaft and hub off to replace the stud that they broke. I took the vehicle back to have the weights moved again and when I got the truck back they had broke another stud on the the same wheel claiming it was cross threaded. Save your time and take your business elsewhere, absolutely not worth the hassle. And please take that impact away from your techs until they learn how to use it.

image I went into Desert Rat as a return customer and left as one that will never return. I had purchased new shocks from them and had them install the shocks for me thinking they had the knowledge and wherewithal to do so. Come to find out, the front two shocks were installed incorrectly, causing my truck to ride rough and the shocks to bottom out very easily. So I had to bring the truck back, costing me another day with a vehicle, to have the job done correctly. image Absolutely disappointed in my experience here.
